The Water Sensor-RVS is a reliable detector for water and other conductive liquids.

This sensor has stainless steel 316 (Inox or Edelstahl) electrodes and works in combination with a water detector or control for level detection.

Applications

Contact level of stainless steel sensor

The mounting height of the water sensor determines the response level of the alarm unit to which it is connected. This occurs only if the metal electrodes come into contact with water at the same time.

Note that the metal parts (stainless steel electrodes) of the water sensor must not make contact with metal pipes or other conductive parts.

Placement of stainless steel water sensor

Some examples for placement of the water sensor: on a floor, in a gutter, screwed to a (metal) surface, with ty-rep on a PVC pipe, etc.

If you use the water sensor for pump control, the contacts must not be pointed straight down, due to water droplets remaining behind.

The connecting cable is thin and flexible, but not suitable for demanding or industrial applications. If necessary, you can shorten or extend the 2-wire cable.
