Product description

Water detector central in surface-mounted design. Potential-free alarm contact and 4 sensor inputs for monitoring water leakage or water level. As soon as one of the connected sensors comes into contact with water, the built-in buzzer emits a loud acoustic alarm. You can set for each channel separately whether the buzzer should be active or not. The LED lights (4 of them) show where the leakage alarm is coming from.

Applications

Water Detector Central with memory

Thanks to the memory, the relay remains energized in alarm condition until someone presses the Reset button. The memory function can also be turned off; the alarm will then automatically go off as soon as the sensor is dry again. The internal dip-switch allows this memory function to be set separately for each channel.

Battery backup

Inside the box there is room for a battery (normal 9 Volt version) that can take over monitoring in case of mains power failure. The cable entries at the bottom can be replaced by cable glands (2x M16, 4x M12) if necessary.

Applications water alarm center

Detection of water leakage in basement, archive, houseboat, technical room, warehouse etc. Other applications: production (water consuming machines), level monitoring (water storage, tanks, basins). Also usable for monitoring water drainage on a flat roof or in a drainage channel: above a certain level (mounting height of the sensor) the pins become wet and you get an alarm notification.

Level indicator with 4 measuring points

In a closed tank or basin, you can place a water sensor at four different heights. The 4 LEDs then indicate the water level, e.g. LED 1 = empty, LED 2 = 50%, etc. - levels completely adjustable to your own choice!

Water level sensor

The number of water detector sensors required depends on your application. You can connect multiple sensors to each of the 4 input channels (if desired): up to 5 per channel, connected in parallel. With additional sensors there is faster alarm when water can come from different places, for example in an archive cellar or under a production line. The 2-wire connection cable between the water detector and sensor (the measurement point) may be up to 50 m long. This makes this water detector central station ideal for monitoring several zones (rooms) in a home or small building, from one central location.

Relay output switching contact

The relay contains a potential-free (de-energized) changeover contact that can switch up to 8 amps (mains voltage). On the connection terminal there is room for looping through the 230 Volt supply voltage, on behalf of an external alarm generator (or other device) to be activated in the event of an alarm. Instead of switching a device, this relay contact can also control the input of a GSM detector, intrusion system, BMS or alarm center.

Relay card extension

With the optionally available 4-channel relay card, it is possible to have a potential-free switching contact for each individual input. This compact module fits into the housing of the water alarm center.

Delivery includes: manual (also NL) and a set of wall plugs + screws for mounting the box. Not included: 9 Volt battery for backup. Water detector sensors should be ordered separately. See below (under related products) for sensors and acoustic or optical alarms.

Option: 4-Channel Relay Card.

With this extension, each channel of the water detector control center gets its own switching contact. This offers additional possibilities, e.g. control an acoustic alarm on channels 1, 2 and 3 and trigger a GSM alarm in case of a message on channel 4. All kinds of other combinations are possible! For each individual channel, you have at your disposal a de-energized make or break contact. This makes it possible to switch on a device in the event of an alarm on channel 1 and at the same time disconnect another device in the event of an alarm on channel 2. Another example two sensors in a basement, placed at different heights: if the lower sensor “senses” water, the alarm lamp on channel 3 goes on and as soon as the upper sensor also gets wet, channel 4 activates a signal horn. Note: This module is placed in the Water Detector 4-channel. The already existing alarm contact always gives a notification, regardless on which sensor input(s) the alarm has occurred.
